Unwind and enjoy yourself. In the basement we have furnished a lovely spa area with hot tub, classic Finnish sauna and a small lounge for socializing and cooling off. Rent by the hour between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m.

Grill house with view of the sea

You are welcome to use the nice barbecuing space, under a roof in our large, lush garden. The grill house seats up to 12 people comfortably and has a view out over the sea and the harbour. The grill house can be booked for a fee but is normally available for all of our guests.

Stava Mosters is a small family business which is run by us, Amira and Robert Storfors. We hope you will enjoy your stay with us and that you will feel almost at home.

And who was Stava Moster?

Stava Mosters was named after the widow Gustava Andersson who ran Mariehamn’s sailor home from 1883 until 1904. There she provided the sailors with meals and rooms while they were waiting for their next recruitment.

Stava Mosters is near Mariehamn’s west harbour, where Viking Lines and Tallink Silja’s ferries dock. On our “About us” page, you will find a map and address.

Yes, there is a parking place for each apartment.
Pets are welcome, for a fee, in the two-room apartment Hanna, which also has a private terrace.
Contact us by phone and we will help you with everything concerning the room and its furnishings.
Yes, bedding, towels and a final cleaning are included.
There is a highchair available for loan. A crib can be booked for a fee.
Torggatan is Mariehamn’s main street and is about 800 metres away. Mariehamn is also called “the town of a thousand linden trees” and the promenade from Stava Mosters to the centre goes via the town’s beautiful linden esplanade.

Mariehamn’s centre, with shops, restaurants and activities is less than a kilometre away. But there are also some activities right next to Stava Mosters. You will find all of these things right on our doorstep:

Åland’s only sports bar with pizza and billiard table.

ÅSS Paviljongen
A harbour pub by the sea which serves simple, good food.

Pub Albin
Thin, delicate pizzas on the dock next to ÅSS, Åland’s sailing society.

Nautical
Fine dining in a traditional atmosphere in the same building as the Åland Maritime Museum. In summer it is a delightful outdoor patio with evening sun, bar, drinks, barbecue menu and salads.

The K-Market Mathishallen and S-Market Mariehamn are less than a kilometre away.

Mariehamn is situated on a one-kilometre-wide isthmus and is a pedestrian-friendly little town. You can also get around with the local town bus or rent a bicycle.
